astronautalis: it was on this spot, in 2007, while celebrating the UF BCS victory over OSU with 50,000 drunks, that i twisted open a bottle of Jameson in the middle of the street in front of a cop. We both looked at the illegal open whiskey, then at each other, when i said, “is this cool?”. the cop responded, “look man, as long as you don’t stab anyone tonight…we’re cool!”. i saw that same cop later that night, leaning on his motorcycle, posing for pictures with sorority girls. also, Less Than Jake wrote the song “Liquor Store” about this place…still never heard that song.
